suffolkIn the March food and drink special issue of EADT Suffolk magazine we really want you to get a taste of Suffolk's best produce.

Polybagging a bottle of Adnams ale or Aspall cyder with this issue would have challenged us, as would cover-mounting some ham or chutney!

Instead we have asked our friends at Tastes of Anglia to pick their top 60 products. It was such a tricky task they ended up with a list nearer seventy but we can forgive them. What we have served up is an array of tremendous locally grown, or produced, food and drink. The question is: Have you sampled them all yet?

There's never been a better time to start!

Still on the same subject we go on a Food Safari, ask some local chefs for advice on cooking techniques, review the latest recipe books, find a specialist food company tucked away in west Suffolk and sample the high cuisine on offer at Seckford Hall.

Elsewhere we feature a candid interview with Ipswich Town chief executive Simon Clegg, in which he gives his inside view of working alongside manager Roy Keane and publicity-shy owner Marcus Evans. Loose Woman singing star Jane McDonald talks to us ahead of her show in Ipswich and we also catch up with the east coast based crusading journalist Humphrey Hawksley.

We explore the Brecks, a particularly beautiful part of west Suffolk , and see what Sudbury can offer the discerning shopper. As winter slowly merges into spring John Grant tells us what wildlife to look out for in March and gardeners take note too . . . we think we have discovered the most eccentric garden in the county.

Still on a green-fingered theme, columnists Jayne Lindill and Belinda Gray write about growing potatoes and give us a 'from plot to pot' recipe to try.

As you can see there's plenty of food for thought in our latest issue.
